If you have to ask, it's totally fine. If you're a contractor or using the tools daily, you might spring for Milwaukee or some other higher-end brand that costs 3x as much. For occasional use, this is perfectly acceptable. Main thing is the brand ecosystem - it's more convenient to have tools that all use the same batteries so you're more likely to keep buying more of the same brand. Fortunately, Craftsman has a pretty big lineup and their tools are pretty reasonably priced. They're primarily sold at Lowes just like Ryobi is primarily sold at Home Depot.
