I had to jump through a ton of hoops to try to extend my subscription. It kept making me a new account.

I have a theory that you can only extend so many times and then it kicks you to a new account.

This thing is absolute garbage. It blocks safe websites even its own bitdefender homepage. So when I wanted to extend to unlimited VPN I clicked on it and it blocks me from purchasing. Even when I add it to the safe list it work for some pages but it still blocks its page. I read up on it and it's been happening for yearssss. So if they havent fixed this simple problem then what other issues they may have overlooked

Been using it for years no problems at all.

I recently purchased and tried to stack my current subscription, but only allows you to activate a new subscription in Bitdefender central. All Family Pack variables were the same. Im stuck holding onto my license until my current one expires.

I bought the 2-year Family Pack last May for $35 and was able to extend my current subscription to February 2031. Not sure why others have had issues extending their subscriptions. The max you could extend was 5 years unless they recently changed that.

I contacted bitdefender and they said you can extend as long as it's the same product and bought from an approved 3rd party vendor like Newegg. If you buy directly from BD it activates immediately and you lose any time you had left. To extend you have to go to your account at BD and follow a procedure not just activate the code.
