Lexani LXUHP-207 looks like a budget performance tire that fits daily cruising better than hard driving. The tread design and water evacuation get praise, and some real world installs have gone two years or more with decent tread left. The main knocks are weaker wet and lateral grip, occasional highway noise, and a plasticky feel that can make the tire seem less sticky than pricier options. It is a value play if you want the look and basic all season use without expecting sports car traction.

Common Questions (5)

  • They have decent tread design and water evacuation, but wet grip and lateral grip are reported as weaker than better tires. They suit normal commuting and cruising more than aggressive driving or hard launches.

  • They can last a long time, with reports ranging from about 2 years to 10 years depending on use and vehicle. One set still had about 30% tread left after 10 years, while another needed air top-offs and replacement after roughly 2 years.

  • Yes, they can work well for everyday driving at the price, especially on cars like a Focus ST or Maverick. They are not ideal for maximum traction, but they are reported to be fine for normal braking, cornering, and cruising.

  • They can be loud on the highway. The tradeoff is that they still get the job done for daily driving, especially if you are prioritizing price over refinement.

  • Yes, mismatched tire sizes have been reported in Walmart orders, including pairs assembled with the wrong size. It is worth checking the shipment carefully before scheduling installation.

I run these exact tires on my old Cadillac STS and yes, they appear to have higher content of "plastic" composite compared to some better tires, as someone said. Before I got all 4 of this brand I ran these in the rear and better tires in the front.....and when I dressed the Lexani tires the tire dressing kind of sat on the top, while the better tires absorbed the dressing...indicating to me that more plastic composites where used in the Lexani tire.

These have a pretty good tread design and evacuate water well and look pretty aggressive, but I would not use these for anything more than a cruiser or average driving. I test all my tires by turning aggressively at different speeds in wet and dry and these are not the grippiest tires but perform well within normal driving limits.

If a person has any sporting pretensions.......I would obviously go with something better but these are fine for the average driver and will last longer than most. I'm an older man with an old car so I dont need Potenza Mach 4 three hundred dollar tires at this point as I'm just cruising.

I told you, I compared it to previous brand that lasted only few years, and produced 0% thread. Now I know that most "sport" tires are used to sell cheap tires that will wear off after few years due to weight design. What a scam! Yes I used these "sport tires" on SUV, so there is zero benefit. But even for regular use, ask AI, there is such slim efficiency gain that ALL "sport tires" are simply scam.

And the danger of AI is that the previous guy who said these tires are from Korea... AI gave a reference to a single thread line from 2021 on some random forum. HA! Since then, September this year, they posted detailed info on https://whomakethis.com/who-makes-lexani-tires/.

China Tires designed by Cali US Corp upstart.
This is hilarious. One second you're saying to ask AI, then the next you're saying AI is unreliable. It's like you're arguing with yourself and losing. Or maybe you're winning. I can't tell.

Bottom line, the grip on these tires is mediocre at best. That's not good enough for me or my family, even if they're 1/3 the cost and last twice as long.

This is exactly the case. 1/3 price, 2x long lasting. I always thought of these tires as 3x 3x, but then realized I may have gotten 40k "sport tires" previously. And as for AI, search engine AI gave Korea and sources. Then ask AI for effect of mass on tires, and it does the math. So why sell 40K tires instead of 60K regular? To create more lies. And your "grip" argument is fictional. What is "grip"? How do you test grip? Why should these tires have less "grip"? Get winter tires with perpendicular lines if you want "grip". These parallel line tires are meant for speed.

These tires also track inflation well. 10 years ago these were $35 each. $50 for SUV (now $100). No games with pricing. No "discounts" of overinflated price. Just good practice. Long term goals.

These filthy stupid "grip" hacks idiots! If you see parallel lines: then tire is meant for speed. Look at winter tires - perpendicular lines. Checker pattern. These are sport tires meant for speed. IN FACT, they used to be advertised and sold as "sport tires". Now they are sold as "all-season".
