Also available for this price on the Klipsch website, BestBuy, etc. All stores.

I feel like they will continue to drop further in price - the original MSRP was a bit crazy. This may not happen without them making a lower-cost revision like they did over the decades with the original promedia 2.1, but under $200 IMO is the proper place for these.

Rated max SPL is about half the volume of the original promedia 2.1 sets though. Most will like the soft dome tweeter on the Lumina more, but it still has an increase in output in the upper frequencies. Lack of volume knob is something I don't like - this uses buttons instead.

Makes me glad I bought an extra set back when they previous THX ProMedia 2.1 went on closeout for $69. I've got an unopened set in my basement for that dreadful day that my current THX ProMedia 2.1 gets fried or quits working or whatever. Best computer speakers ever. The sound is intense for games, movies, music, everything.

I highly recommend these! I picked up a set recently and I liked them so much I got my wife a set as well. These speakers sound REALLY good. Not a fan of the lights but they toggle off. Well worth it imo.

Do the lights remain toggled off after a reboot?

Anyone with experience can compare these speakers with the IK Multimedia iLoud Micro Monitors (for similar price, I got them on sale during Prime days)? My intended use is as PC speakers, mostly for music and some media consumption. TIA!

How does this compare to the old Promedia THX 2.1 system?

Not currently but I assume that is a bug in the software they will fix soon. It's a quick toggle on the software to turn them off.

I wonder if the new Sony Playstation speakers would be better. These are overpriced.

I prefer my old pro medias. The speakers are louder and something about the new ones bother my ears after an extended listening session.

Yea, I can't believe the price of these speakers. I got two sets of the 2.1s when they were $80 also.

I agree, now lights etc gimmick that pushes price to unreasonable levels. Not saying it should be 60 or 100 at least give me non RGB with basic looks for 150.
