Interface-wise, I skipped the app which seemed like an effort to just get all my data including my apple health data. The display and controls are easy enough, though it cycles through all the screens (time, distance, calories) rather than letting you choose what to look at, and it's also a bit annoying that the heart rate monitor will override all of those screens, and it's kind of hard to not use the hand rails most of the time given the size of the machine.
If you need something cheap, and plan on mostly walking, I think it's perfectly fine, and it doesnt take up too much space in the home and is easy to store to boot. If you plan to run, have plenty of room and disposable income, I would aim higher.
