McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning in the 7 pound container is a versatile, long lasting pantry staple that goes well beyond steak. It works on pork, ground beef, burgers, roasts, chicken, and even everyday foods like vegetables, pasta, rice, soup, eggs, beans, salad, and sauces. The bulk size makes sense for heavy use, though the container is awkward without smaller bottles or mason jars for decanting. The blend is salt forward and may slowly lose flavor over time, making it a practical seasoning for frequent use.
Common Questions (3)
It works on pork, ground beef, burgers, roasts, whole roasted chicken, and even everyday foods like vegetables, pasta, rice, soup, eggs, beans, salad, and sauces. It can be used anywhere you'd normally add salt, pepper, and garlic.
It can last a very long time because it is mostly salt, and the seasoning does not really expire in the usual sense. Over time it may gradually lose flavor, so storing it in airtight jars can help preserve freshness.
The deal price works out to about $1.19 per pound, which is extremely cheap for this seasoning. One comparison noted Sysco charges $80 for the same container, and another buyer got it for $8.35 with Subscribe & Save after the coupon.

Lot's of decent deals on spices and seasonings relatively recently it seems (Amazon's brand of parsley and oregano come readily to mind); thanks OP.
That's exactly what I did to get another for $8; thanks again OP. Surprised these cheap basterd shenanigans still work as I've had no luck employing this parsimonious tactic for at least half a year now. I'm not going look a frugal horse in the mouth though and will take it
