Looks like you might need a subscription for the bird identification
Their website is nearly unusable on mobile so I gave up

I have a RichBird Rusto that works on the CoolFly app, and I have bird identification and notifications without having to pay for a subscription. Videos are limited to ~20 seconds, and the minimum cooldown period is ~1 minute.

Thanks for the data point. Reviews seemed to say both ways, not sure why

Just something to keep in mind when setting these up, if you mount them near a window, expect to see bird crap on the window. Even if you mount them elsewhere, expect bird crap. Birds obviously don't care about pooping where they eat.

That's rough! I've had a non smart window one up for a year or so and they never pooped on the window yet! How shallow is yours or do they sit on top of it?

I switched to only safflower seed so the squirrels stay away so maybe its the species of birds?... i think its pretty neat. So far the feeder hasn't fallen off once but it was not this one, just a random cheapo from amazon.

The one I had was in fact a cheap Amazon brand. It sat pretty much suctioned up right up to the window. It was great seeing the birds right there, but I think maybe it was too close to the window which is why the bird droppings were obvious. Oh and just below the window wasn't grass, but concrete. And I believe the seed I bought was some wild-bird feed. Some of the more colorful birds I noticed were a cardinal and a blue jay. While seeing the bird poop was kind of gross, seeing the birds that would come to the feeder, probably not a deal killer, but something to be mindful of.

I almost got it until I saw that. 1st thing was putting it in a window when i already have birds crashing into my window everyday. Its so bad I had to stop washing the window to make it slow down a bit. Then i saw the plug.....So close Frown

Yes. I just received it today and installed. You can mount it on the outside of the window or the inside, depending on where you have your outlet. I have it both outside and inside, so for now I've mounted it outside.

This thing sucks. Camera is trash and you have to pay a monthly subscription
