This 95A TPU stands out as a flexible, durable filament for practical parts like gaskets, bumpers, wrist rests, feet, and other tough prints. It is described as more like flexible plastic than rubber, with very strong layer adhesion and good results on printers such as the Bambu A1, Flashforge AD5M and AD5X, and Elegoo Centauri Carbon. The main cautions are TPU specific, it prints slowly, strings easily, and needs drying and careful bed setup. Textured PEI or glue helps release, and direct feeding works better than AMS style routing.

Common Questions (5)

  • 95A TPU is slower and fussier than PLA, with stringing and drying needs, but it can print well on printers like the Bambu A1, AD5M/AD5X, and Elegoo Centauri Carbon when fed directly. A few users had trouble on the Flashforge Adventurer 5M, so printer setup and profile tuning matter.

  • 95A is flexible, but it still feels more like flexible plastic than soft rubber. It has very good layer adhesion and is suited to durable parts like gaskets, spacers, wrist rests, vibration feet, bumpers, and other tough outdoor uses.

  • Yes. TPU is moisture sensitive, and drying it right out of the vacuum bag can improve results and reduce stringing. Longer dry times are often needed, especially if the spool has absorbed moisture.

  • Textured PEI or a cool textured plate works well, and glue stick can help with release. Avoid cold or supertack-style plates, because TPU can bond so strongly that removal becomes difficult.

  • It should be fed directly rather than through AMS. TPU intended for AMS is much stiffer, while 95A is still flexible enough that direct feeding is the easier and more reliable setup.

TPU deals are rare - I don't use it often but when I do the parts are pretty simple. Like gaskets, spacers etc. So print quality is often good enough. TPU is very moisture sensitive. Very long dry times too. Tried printing a phone case one time and... id just rather buy one.
What went wrong? I got some TPU off Amazon, printed a case in maybe 12 hours & didn't really have any problems.

Which profile did you use on the ad5x and did you use the textured plate or something else?
I used a generic profile that's in the flashforge slicer. Cool textured plate or textured PEI plate, either works. No glue.

Worth a shot at this price. Have never printed TPU before, but will give it a try with my P2S.

I've only printed a bit of the bambu labs TPU and I think it's way too stiff. It was TPU for AMS, maybe that's why. I'm sure that's so it can feed the stuff easier. Is this softer by chance (hopefully) and without feed challenges?

The first TPU I tried on my P1S was some super soft stuff that didn't really engage or feed well on the stock extrusion feeder gear settings. Later learned people were tightening the feeder up and printing an overhead filament holder. I'll give this a try since I lost a fight to the cheap and soft 85A stuff.

TPU for AMS seems to be 68D which is very very stiff. This one here at 95A should be noticeably more flexible. But 95A is still pretty hard and won't feel very rubbery, more like flexible plastic. It will stretch a bit and bend well. Plus layer adhesion is extremely good.Should be easy to print with any printer as long as you bypass the AMS and feed it directly

This brand works well on an Elegoo Centauri Carbon with Canvas bypassed (get the file from Elegoo https://wiki.elegoo.com/centauri-...-print-tpu).I agree with others that TPU is a bit of a pain but is a great filament. Very durable. My most recent thing I printed was a wrist rest for my mouse and some squishies for my kid and friends.EDIT> DO NOT use a cold or supertack type of plate - you will never get your print off. Use glue on your plate for easier removal and like others have said, dry first (although I have gotten away without drying you do get better results). Overall I find it pretty easy to print with other than the stringing and fine tuning hardness.
You don't need any glue. Just pour some iso alcohol on the plate and it comes right off.

What kind of stuff do you print with it?
A bunch of random things, head bands for my Hifiman head phones, a small home plate for batting practice with my son, inserts for a vice, vibration isolation feet, tried a cell phone case but doesn't look as nice as store bought.

Not sure on this deal, but I had a hard time with TPU 95A on my Flashforge Adventurer 5M, I got some 64D and that printed well.
I have the same printer! Really like it after about 200 hours, especially for the price.

What are a few of the squishy models you have tried?

How are you guys feeding TPU to your printer. I have high humidity so I keep PETG/PLA in cereal DIY desiccant dry boxes but TPU seems difficult to feed from PTFE tube?

Please come back and report how it went. I'm having a hard time swallowing $40 for the TPU for AMS and I'd like to print some things with my P2S 🤞🏼
