Costco's in store Apple Watch Ultra 3 deal stands out as a strong price on the rugged 49 millimeter GPS and cellular model, with real warehouse stock turning up even when the website shows out of stock. The watch is drawing interest for its sapphire durability, extra battery headroom, 5G, and satellite support, and price matching has worked through Best Buy in several cases. The main hesitation is the newer S12 or Ultra 4 chip, which is seen as a meaningful step up in performance. A solid option if the current feature set matters more than the latest processor.
Common Questions (4)
Yes. Best Buy price matching worked in-store and through chat, including on a second attempt, and one shopper also got the match on the first try. The matched price was $449.97 after buying at $499.97.
Yes. Multiple Costco warehouses had units on hand even when the website or app showed out of stock, including locations in California, Woodstock GA, and Mansfield TX. Some stores had about 4-5 units, and one shopper bought the last one.
The Ultra 3 offers sapphire glass, extra battery headroom, 5G, and Satellite, which can be worth it if durability and battery matter. The Series 12 is aluminum, and the newer S12/Ultra 4 chip is described as better in almost everything, so the tradeoff is features and toughness versus newer silicon.
Yes. A purchase made a week earlier at $499.97 was successfully price matched down to $449.97, and the employee said to come back if the price drops again.
