This Costco in store Ultra 3 deal is drawing attention for the $500 price and even lower in store finds around $450, with some locations showing stock despite the website saying out of stock. The watch is being treated as a strong value for buyers coming from older Apple Watch models, especially for the sapphire display, extra battery headroom, and 5G plus satellite support. Best Buy price matching has worked in many cases, though approval often depends on the rep and some attempts fail when the item is not in stock locally. A solid pickup if you can find stock or get the match approved.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, Best Buy price matching has worked for many buyers, often after multiple attempts or with a different agent. Some reps required the item to be in stock at Costco or for a zip code to show availability, while others matched it even when Costco delivery was unavailable.
Yes, several Costco locations had units available in-store even when the website or app showed out of stock. Shoppers reported walking in and finding stock at locations in California, Georgia, Texas, and other states, so this is an in-store/YMMV deal rather than a reliable online stock indicator.
The deal has been seen at $499.97 and later around $449.95-$450 in-store, with some buyers getting price matches down to $449.97 or $450. One shopper also reported a $501 total in Mountain View, CA after tax.
Often yes, because some Best Buy reps refused the match when Costco showed no local stock. Other reps approved it anyway, so success depends on the agent and the specific stock check they use.
For Ultra 1 or Ultra 2 owners, this is generally not a compelling upgrade at $450 unless you specifically want the newer battery headroom, 5G + Satellite, or sapphire durability. It is a stronger value jump from older Series watches than from an existing Ultra.

They first confirmed the price match. Then waited on the line while I placed the order and provided them the order #, and then the agent submitted the refund for ~$220 (diff + tax).

How did you get that rep accommodate? Each time after they asked for a zip code, they would say Costco website in out of stock, therefore they can't match the sales price
