They first confirmed the price match. Then waited on the line while I placed the order and provided them the order #, and then the agent submitted the refund for ~$220 (diff + tax).

How did you get that rep accommodate? Each time after they asked for a zip code, they would say Costco website in out of stock, therefore they can't match the sales price

The chat got connected to post sales team. i had to place the order for 650 and they refunded the difference amount right then.
