This thing is pretty decent, but it is a little confusing when things don't get to the light indicator in terms of "doneness" of whatever you're making. I tried to crank it up in power but it would still stop on its own and was still slushy consistency for the most part but definitely melted very quickly. Followed the recipes properly too so I don't think its a sugar content issue but maybe it is, who knows. All in all, at this price, its still a great machine and its surprisingly easy to clean which is a huge plus

The light indicator can be frustrating. The fact it takes 5 minutes or so for the machine to reset on the next run after shut down is annoying. I've learned to deal with it by multi tasking near by when starting to make a slushi For me personally it's normally stopping bc I have a little too much alcohol and it can be triggered by as little as 1 oz. 12 oz 80 proof alcohol in a half gallon liquid is a pretty safe zone to walk away , go higher and your taking your chances. I have made slushi with as high as 2 cups but you may need to add more sugar. I've been using powder drinks bc it's cheaper. Powdered Gatorade,koolaid , iced tea this summer , pre mix a concentrate and pour it in machine and hadn't had to add any additional sugar etc.
