I missed prime day when gamesir g7 pro was $90-$104. Guess I'll wait longer since reviews say SCUF is basically a normal xbox controller modified.

Appreciate the post and would get this is it was in that range

If you don't mind black and certified refurb from Corsair direct, eBay has the SCUF Valor Pro wireless for $69, I have seen it recently as low as $53. I almost bought one. They keep increasing the price for some reason. This gray/orange combo is $83.

I have a lot of controllers and play FPS (Call of Duty) only on Xbox, my current favorite is Flydigi Vader 5S but it is wired. Second would be G7 Pro.

I'm looking at the Zenless Zone Zero edition for $129.99 and there's a renewed one for $90.99 but I'd rather new to have a konger warranty period as the SO doesn't like stick drift or wired controllers when she plays

I have this, and I'm not sure what they mean by that. The Scuf has numerous improvements, including TMR sticks. Look it up.

Personally, my favorite so far is actually Razer Wolverine Pro v3. It doesn't have TMR, but it does have Hall Effect sticks. However, the feel of every button, back buttons and triggers, along with the shape is awesome. Complete crappy software compared to even Scuf, which is also pretty bad though. It's functional enough to get you going. Beyond that, I'd highly recommend the Wolverine.

Personally, I know a lot of people recommend GameSir G7 Pro, and it's a value for sure with lots of features. But know, you're supporting CCP destroying yet another market with subsidized pricing. That's speaking as a Chinese person.

I second the buying it refurb from Corsair (manufacturer). You can even get extra few years warrant for cheap, which make it perfect.

Walmart has offered it recently, jumps between $50's-$80's

I got the g7 zzz recently and one thing that I don't like about it is that the dongle or dongle in dock need to be plugged into the Xbox for it to work wirelessly. They don't make that clear in the product description and I had assumed it didn't need the dongle like how regular Xbox controllers are.

Otherwise it's a great controller, and inclusions of a dock and case makes it a better value than this scuff. The scuff has 4 back paddles vs. 2 on the g7, but I only ever use 2.

This prices makes the price of the $100 steam controller look good. even though it's ridiculous. I paid $50 for the original Steam controller, and there is good enough controllers for most of the population for even less but people are willing spend and companies see the $$$$. This like the audiophile market for gamers. If it had a modular design, where you can swap out parts and change the layout, had replaceable batteries, like a dual system for 2xAA and easily standardized lipo batteries, PC, Android, Mac, Switch 1/2 and PlayStation support, and a long warranty as well... maybe it might be worth it. but maybe I should make my own controller.

If you go to the "More options from Best Buy and Marketplace sellers" on Best Buy you can get the Corsair refurbished option for $83.56. Not sure if it is YMMV https://www.bestbuy.com/product/s...u/13011715

Interesting... is this a really good controller for PC? I don't even have xbox but i've been really trying to research the best controller for PC. I don't play a ton of shooters but I do play Rocket League and need something that feels good. I also play plenty of casual games too so best of both worlds...

FWIW, the G7 is nice - the sticks feel good and its held up well in the year I've had it. But you'll definitely notice the battery life isn't as long as the standard 1st party controllers.

If you're looking at the ZZZ for the Xbox wireless support specifically, there's a mod for the g7 pro that is listed as wired on Xbox, to flash the dongle to make it wireless on Xbox.

Did it myself.
