However, one terribly annoying thing I want to call out and shame is the huge amount of styrofoam they use in their packaging. Since I bought 3, I had to literally buy a hot wire cutter and throw it out in pieces in garbage over six weeks! It was a nightmare. I hope they stop using this awful material.
I adore the RGB ring, but the killer feature on these is the phone app has a joystick feature where you can aim the fan EXACTLY where you want it! If you want, you can also define custom oscillation curves (from say, 10 degrees to 50 degrees) lol. They also have a thermostat mode where the fan turns on/off/adjusts speed based on the ambient temperature.....
and they do have a temperature sensor.
The amount of control you get from the app is borderline ridiculous. Like a group of hardcore fan nerds got together to design these.
IMHO in terms of sheer air volume? I think the 16" DC amazon basics fans might do a little better. These can move tons of air, but at that CFM they make a lot of noise. These excel at being quiet when you're not moving a TON of air. Like a fan you have in your room when sleeping (inaudible at speed 1 and very quiet at speed 2).
As far as the RGB goes, it barely adds $10 to the price and sometimes costs the same as the fan without. You can always just buy it and not use that feature. I love it lol.
