I believe running the mac mini in this vertical position kills the wifi, something to do with antenna placement/direction.

Does it mean that I might need to plug cables in three different directions?

Thanks. It's good to know that this can be a problem. I don't think it's a major issue since I suppose one can just flip it around; the antenna can't be on both sides.

But regardless, this does mean that one should either look up which side the antenna is at; or test WiFi reception with either side facing up to see which one fares better.

If you look at the listing it states the dock is for M4, M6 models which means it will not accommodate earlier versions which are larger. I have the M1 and bought a Vaydeer dock on eBay for $20

Seems like this should work with other computers with a USB c port too.
The picture weirdly shows the cable connected to a laptop and a Mac mini sitting in the dock.

Is it for M4 or M6?

M4, M5, and M6 Minis all have the same form factor... so it should work for all 3.

Physical dimensions are really the only consideration for that 'compatibility' callout since these are basically just USB-C docks that'll work with basically anything, with a 'saddle' for the Mini.

I think it was an issue with their other doc which was attached to the bottom which would block signal since the antennas are in the bottom. That's probably why this one is vertical, so they try and avoid that issue

Different amazon listing of same product sitting at 3.8 stars
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DPWYL57Y

Reviews do complain about SSD constantly dropping which is the main reason I was considering this dock for, so looks like a pass
