Acer has so many refurbs...does that mean they don't last?
FWIW, I've bought a few refurbs from this store* and all have been flawless (and looked brand new as well). My guess is Acer corp has a high QC rejection rate and anything that doesn't pass gets labelled a "refurb." Also they are a massive company so even a tiny percent of refurbs might seem like a lot by pure volume of sales.
*That being said, this ebay store's customer service sucks and some of their listings can be incorrect. For example my current laptop was labelled as a Ultra 5 with 32GB of Ram, which Acer did NOT have a model that fit that niche. I questioned the customer service several times who provided me with a half non-answer each time, which appeared to be written by AI. Finally someone replied, said it was an Ultra 9 CPU, I ordered, turned out to be an Ultra 7. I still got a good deal but their CS never replied to my follow up about that either. I had a similar situation happen the prior year with a different laptop, which the error was strongly in their favor, they didn't want to help, so I just returned the entire translation.
