Not just west coast. Kohl's changes the website sales at 12 midnight eastern and coupons don't expire stop working until west coast hits midnight.

As a more explicit example, for the last week until Oct 18 Kohls was offering 40% off, free shipping, and earn Kohls Cash that can be spent starting on Oct 19. Of course starting on Oct 19 is when no offers are available, except that in the first one or few hours of Oct 19 is when you can spend the Kohls Cash and still also redeem the 40% off and get free shipping.

Today was also the start of "extra 50% off clearance items" in Kohl's stores. If you have time to spend some time in a store, IME there are great bargain items to be found. But it takes some time to go through clearance racks, etc. The best deals are the brand name items, like Nike, Under Armour, etc. where coupons usually don't apply.

The online price is already 50% off. For in-store, the tag will still show the original clearance price and the 50% off will be automatically deducted at the register. I'd say the pricing lines up 90% of the time, on line and in-store. In my experience, the great part about the in-store shopping is that they have lots of clearance items that are already sold out on line.

Ordered a bunch of items and got an email a few hours later that they cancelled all of them, because all of them are out of stock... hmm... I'd believe it if it were one or two items, but to cancel all of them is suspect.
