That's a pretty decent deal. I couldn't not buy it. Only bummer is that some of the commonly used computers of PLA were sold out already

C1S has an epic targeted offer for 50 cash back in 50 or 50 on 100 for ebay. Definitely worth exploring.

Oh boy. Just got the flash forge ad5x and need to buy filament now. Whats the difference between pla, pla+ and rapid pla+ with this machine? Kids just want to print toys and things with no issues.

Do not order anything from ELEGOO, especially from eBay. They do not pack the filament properly to keep it from getting damaged. They basically tape up all the boxes with no protection and ship it. See the attached photo. When contacted they did nothing about it. Three of the five boxes I ordered were unusable because of the damage sustained. They were damaged so bad, I would have to unroll it onto another reel. I learned my lesson never to buy filament with cardboard reels ever again. And definitely nothing from ELEGOO.

I've received packages delivered like this as well. They were beat up enough the cardboard spools got bent as well. I printed some snap on adapters in PETG, and the filament itself is fine. Those are pretty handy to keep around for any group that uses cardboard spools. It's good you let others know of your experience for those that won't want to deal with that, but the fix is simple for those that are willing.

Ya, I have had this with many brands, blame the shipping company for throwing things around, I respool if needed or have the spool supports.

I refuse to respool filament. Maybe if they sold the filament for five dollars I would do that. My time is better spend doing other things. That on top of the vendor not willing to replace what was damaged makes them a horrible vendor, not worthy of my business. There are too many excellent filament vendors to give money to those not deserving.

Fortunately, I don't have the same logic as you do. I expect to get what I paid for. Yes the filament was probably OK but I am not going to respool filament. Letting vendors get away with this type of behavior, only encourages him to do it more when no one takes action. I'm sure you wouldn't buy a new car with dents in it even though it was drivable.

Yes this is Elegoo style. When i ordered from Amazon neatly packed pla pro black cardboard spools no issues in AMS. When ordered directly from their site they shipped from china almost like that but wrapped in grey plastic bag. All boxes were ok but vacuum packed bags compressed the spools so much that i have to use them outside of AMS or respool. Respooling creates a problem - filament that on the edges of the cardboard core gets pinched in Sunlu reusable spools and then i get notified there's a tangle or the spool doesn't turn anymore. Have to force it. So i left a bad review and elegoo contacted me asking for pictures. I sent pictures and never heard from elegoo again. They'll hear from me again.

Good point points, however, I expect to get what I paid for. If they want send me damaged products, I expect a damaged product price. That on top of the vendor unwilling to replace what was damaged says a lot about them. I'm only trying to warn people of the vendor's lack of responsibility. That reason alone is enough for me never to buy from them again.

When ripping off the cardboard and after putting it on the sunlu spool with both sides securely on, massage it with a bit of pressure with open fingers and that should resolve any issues with filament getting stuck in the side.

Fwiw, almost every filament company ships their filament with just a thick white plastic bag around it and /or taped together (as my current 400+ spools can attest to). Regardless, any filament that comes in cardboard spools, the first thing I do is rip off the cardboard and slide it on to a plastic spool when it's a filament I may use in my AMS - only takes a couple of minutes for me at this point. I did just get 5kg from Elegoo today and it happened to come in a regular box but I have had alot come as aforementioned, which honestly doesn't bother me at all. I certainly won't blacklist Elegoo as it's the best budget filament out there and I'd only be punishing myself. But yeah, all these companies need to do a better job with their shipping. One thing I did notice is if I order 10kg worth it always comes boxed, but if I add an 11th, it's just been taped on to that box with the 10kg lol.

I've ordered from amazon, ebay, ali. Elegoo site is the worst. Every other place shipped in a box. Amazon is the best for elegoo pla pro. I'll try to massage next time i feel like transferring to a reusable spool. if Elegoo wants to be environmentally friendly i'd gladly order refills if they offered it in their craptastic deal. It's be much easier and maybe a few pennies cheaper. I won't use their overstressed bad quality cardboard for non-pro filament in my AMS. It frays too much.
