Full warranty on a customer return is the part that makes this work. Creality's own eBay store too, not some random reseller. Don't forget the SHOPNOW15 code at checkout or you're paying the sticker.

Do you think this will get much cheaper? Doesn't seem to big of a deal for an open box

This is an extremely hot product and they can barely keep it in stock at full price so my guess would be that they won't be lowering the price any time soon, but I could be wrong. I bought mine at release at the introductory $629 price and their still selling at $699. Unfortunately, due to unforseen circumstances I really haven't been able to sit down and take the time to learn how to use it (it's my 1st scanner)

Oh wow!it's $699!? Maybe I will pick this up. It's be my first scanner too and I've been wanting to scan a lot of things to duplicate or mess with. Thanks for replying!

Introductory / Pre-order price was $629 and they promoted it "limited time" and I believed them lol so that's when I ordered it. They may have some Holiday pricing lower than $699 but who knows. While I haven't been able to use mine yet I am part of a Pika FB group and follow it closely and this seems quite capable, especially for something its size and portability.

Thanks again, just picked one up. I guess we'll both figure this thing out together.

If you use Facebook, there is a Creality Pika group there that I recommend joining. Members there can be very helpful.

I got this deal last time it was available (mid September). They wrote me about a week after the order and said that the unit they were going to send was in bad shape and instead they'd like to wait until they had new units and send one instead for same price. A couple of weeks later they sent it and I just got it. Not yet tried out but was NIB.

Likely, but it has a very narrow field of view and unless it's physically tethered to a rocking computer you'll need to apply and then remove the scanning dots.

Thanks for your reply. This should work for me since I can take the fins off the board and scan them individually.

Well it has been 10 days and still not delivered. Evidently mine is being fulfilled by a 3rd party last mile delivery company called Gofo Express. They are terrible. No communication, no delivery and then they say our address was unreachable yet tracking shows delivery was never even attempted. We literally live in a community with a 24x7 gated entry with human security. This morning Ebay sends me an email saying it looks like you didn't get your order you can reach out to so and so at Gofo to try and find it. No I don't think so. Creality can eat the return. This will be my last Ebay order with them. Nothing but problems.

Arrived to my door in 4 days. Everything was factory sealed and looked brand new. Still even had the peels on the device. The only indication that anything may (but probably not) have been used was: (1) saw a fingerprint on the screen peel, but there's a chance it could have been mine as I was inspecting all angles of the device, (2) the manual was a little beat up, but it was still sealed in one of the pouches with other paper items, which were not beat up, (3) the battery charge was low out of the box, at least on the one battery I tried, since there were two, but the manual actually says this is intended for shipping safety reasons, and (4) the default language on the device was Chinese, though maybe that's not super unusual for some devices. I've had a few other Creality devices and they all came in English out of the box. Maybe the one I got was originally intended for the Chinese market? Anyway, the manual, either printer or online, did not have instructions on changing the language, so had to use Google Translate. Not a big deal.

Using the device itself was working fine, and a good experience overall; I had usable results within a couple hours of opening it. That's a lot better than the experience I had with the Ferret.

Edit: One other thing. The USB cable it comes with is USB-C to USB-C; maybe a concern for Desktop users. I don't know how common USB C ports are on Desktops these days. But really, the concern I have is that none of the official product pages really call this out. Maybe it's supposed to be an obvious thing, but even Creality's own manual says to "plug into a USB 3.0 blue port or higher." I've never seen a blue USB C port before.
