The fact the pump does not have an internal battery (or so I assume) to fail actually seems like a great idea. That being said, I am not sure I like the idea of the cord being permanently attached, the auto on / off, which could be unreliable, or the fact the pump body is layout is perpendicular to the valve. Honestly, all I am in the market for is a pump, I have enough bags to last me a lifetime. This is tempting despite all of the (perceived) shortcomings....
