I think it needs to be ordered in-store with the cashier, but you'll need to scan the barcode from the app to get the discount.

I love this place but made the mistake of trying to go on freebie day - line like 100+ deep - instant turn around - this will work because the deadbeats wont show for a deal where they'll have to actually pay

Dave's Hot Chicken is offering a free slider with any purchase, and the app rewards screen appears to show the promo with a code to scan in store. The best value seems to come from ordering at the counter or kiosk, where the barcode can trigger the discount and the slider can be added to the cart. Some locations may be crowded or slow, and the offer may not work everywhere, including Wisconsin. A few checkout attempts also failed to show the discount until the in store flow was used, so the redemption steps matter.

  • App-based diners who can follow in-store redemption steps, because the offer appears under Rewards and can be scanned in the restaurant.

    sfmitchrobotrocker

  • People who want a quick chicken snack with a small add-on, because the free slider can still be redeemed with a 50-cent sauce packet as the cheapest extra.

    robotrocker

  • People who are willing to pay for a meal and avoid the freebie rush, because the paid offer may draw a shorter line than a no-purchase giveaway.

    DCZimmer15

  • People expecting a smooth app checkout, because the price may not drop before payment and the discount can be hard to confirm.

    nutriapeludaDeathCheetah

  • People who want a fast lunch stop, because food can take 20 to 30 minutes to come out.

    brad_headley

  • People who dislike a heavy seasoning profile, because the medium slider can come coated in a dry rub of sugar and chili powder.

My location had kiosk machines up this time, whereas they had cashiers taking orders last week when they had the free slider promo. You scan the barcode from the app which pulls up your account. Immediately I happened on a screen showing two promos. I tapped on this particular one, which added a line item to the cart. But note that you still need to add the slider itself; otherwise it will error out. Lowest cost item was a 50 cent sauce packet.

Is this promotion real? The free slider from the 19th to the 25th only appears on this post and some random person's YouTube clip. "Must be logged in as a Frequent Fryer rewards member and apply offer at check-out when ordering via the app or through web ordering."How? Where's the offer?
It's in the Rewards section of the app for me.

i've been here twice. i thought it was fairly good both times.. have to be in the mood for it. felt a little gross afterwards. But the big kicker was that both times it took between 20 and 30 minutes to get my food. the first time was during the weekday lunch hour rush, and the other time was a sunday at 4pm. is that other people's experience too at other locations??

Dave's Hot Chicken sucks. I wouldn't go eat there if my entire meal was free.

Use to do that to get an order of cheese sticks at Pizza Hut. Marinara sauce purchase for the win.

open dave's app and under rewards shows the promotion and says to scan code in restaurant. They had free slider day (no purchase necessary) last week and it worked fine.

The dip is $1.49 at my local store. Seems excessive to me seeing as you're already there ordering food and spending money.

I don't understand the hype for this place. I've gotten the medium and it was strangely covered in a dry rub of sugar and chili powder. Are the hotter options better?

But this one you have a whole week to redeem so there should be some moments when it's not too crazy.
