It's a lot cheaper from NewEgg. They frequently have deals for 2 years of Bitdefender Total Security for 5, 10 or 15 devices. Even their 1 year deals are cheaper.

Here's a current 1 year deal they have for 15 licenses for $25.

Here's a recent expired deal for 15 licenses for 2 years for $33.

Isn't the newegg one cheaper due to that discount code they have now? Does newegg have these deals with other antivirus programs as well? Or it's mainly bitdefender but rotating sales on different versions of bitdefender

Is Bitdefender the best antivirus to get now? Other options seem to be Norton and Eset.

All these antivirus companies seem to offer a free trial. Do some of you use the monthly free trial and then cancel it. Then sign up for a 1 year plan by buying it on newegg assuming you get a low price like this? Then you would enter the code into your expired Bitdefender plan that you cancelled and now you have a 1 year active plan?

This thing is garbage. It blocks safe websites like bluecrossblueshield and ironically it blocks its own website when I tried to upgrade to unlimited VPN. Even when I put sites on the safe list it still blocks its own bitdefender site, homepage and the VPN purchasing site. Look it up its been happening for years. If they havent fixed this issue they havent fixed any issue

You keep posting this garbage on every BD deal. I have used BD for years with none of the issues you claim. Never once blocked a safe website for me.

I'd say BitDefender is right up there with ESET as the most reliable options in terms of detection and low FP's. Kaspersky is no longer available to the US market. Norton merged with Avast. Avast is a good AV, but has been known to be extremely shady in recent years. I believe the paid version is okay, but I wouldn't want to support them.

AV Comparatives (https://av-comparatives.org/) tests AV's regularly and BitDefender is a consistent top performer.

So for US users, best is Bitdefender and Eset? But more so Bitdefender than Eset?

How is the free version of Bitdefender compared to this paid version?

I prefer ESET then Bitdefender but it really depends on what you're specifically doing with the device or PC. Give the free version of Bitdefender a try first. Have a senior family member who looks at nekkid people websites online and clicks on all the clickbait and Bitdefender free version has done a fantastic job keeping his windows pc free from malware and such. ESET I prefer as it doesn't slow down the machine as much as Bitfender but this will vary depending on your expectations and hardware.

How does bitdefender slow the computer exactly?

So you have used both bitdefender trial version and the free version before trying Eset?
