This bundle ties Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus into one annual membership, and the strongest upside is that linking existing accounts can unlock the other service at little or no extra cost. The process often works through the Sam's or Walmart app, and several linked accounts triggered prorated Walmart+ refunds ranging from a few dollars to much more. The main catch is that the price math is inconsistent, with some upgrades showing $22, $48, $58, or the full $120, and the bundle can interfere with Amex credits or senior discounts. It looks best for people already using both memberships and willing to check the exact charge before confirming.

Common Questions (5)

  • Linking can trigger an immediate prorated Walmart+ refund, and the amount depends on how much time is left on the current plan. Reported refunds ranged from a few dollars to about $95, with some users getting $47, $70.08, or $72 back after linking.

  • The bundle is an annual joint membership, and the add-on price can be prorated based on your current renewal dates. Some existing Walmart+ members were quoted around $22 to add Sam's Club Plus, but others saw higher amounts like $48, $53, or $58 depending on timing and what was already active.

  • Yes. Existing Sam's Club Plus members can link Walmart+ at no additional cost by signing in through the Sam's Club app or Walmart link flow, and the Walmart+ benefit appears after the accounts are connected.

  • If Walmart+ is being paid through American Express credits, linking can stop those statement credits from applying. The bundle is billed as an annual plan, so it may not work cleanly with monthly Amex Walmart+ reimbursement setups.

  • Walmart+ can be shared with a household member through the membership settings. The comments do not confirm that the Sam's Club Plus side gains an extra person from the bundle, so that part remains unclear.

I have Walmart plus and the base Sam's membership. When I go through the linking, it is asking for $58 plus tax to upgrade to the higher Sam's membership. No credit back.

I have a "free" WM+ sub through amex platinum (pay $12.95/mo, AMEX refunds the amount) and i got a 1 year sams club membership for $15 thru groupon.

I tried linking the two off the announcement page in OP and it wanted to charge me $120/year. So the deal isn't really gonna work for Amex Platinum members, since the WM+ offer is for monthly payment, not annual payment. Too bad, woulda been a nice side perk to get a sams club membership for only an extra $22 a year.

If I had to pick between Amazon and Walmart+ im going Walmart every day. Amazon has turned into an untraceable Chinese flea market, it's unrecognizable anymore. At least Walmart for all its faults has (comparatively) rigorous supply chain vetting once you filter the search to pare back to Walmart's own retailer inventory. Same or next day delivery for most stuff, it's just so much better than prime now.
The fact that I can filter the retailer to Walmart only without editing the URL seems like common sense but Amazon likes to drive your sales to crappy vendors. For some items, Walmart won't ship (like sub $3 items) but if you buy their multiple packs, it'll still be cheaper than driving there and back and spending the gas and time. Walmart+ is really amazing and I recommend it to anyone in the suburbs. Not sure how great they are for urban neighborhoods though.

I have had both for years. Just got a $15 refund. Awesome surprise to see this news in my inbox this morning.
I'm in a rural area, so other memberships like Target 360 and Kroger Boost are basically worthless. And Costco is way too far away to make it a regular trip. I've gotten my money's worth out of both Walmart and Sam's Club Plus memberships, but I did sign up for AARP a while back to get discounted Walmart+. But hey, I'll take free!

Yes it won't work for W+ from Amex Platinum

I already have Sam's Club plus and a basic Walmart account. When I went to Sam's Club my account there was a button link to Walmart account. I didn't update my phone number and email to match in both accounts because it was giving me some issues when I clicked link. Once I did that they linked with no problem. I logged into Walmart separately and it said you have Sam's Club Plus with Walmart Plus.

THIS. Also, Walmart does an admirable job packing items for shipment compared to Amazon who sent me another craft paper bag full of broken and smashed items yesterday.

How are you renewing for $49? Did you get an email about your renewal? I did, and it says $98. My account shows $49 (special offer), but that was what I paid last time. That is the way mine was last year. I canceled, because it said renewal was $98. I did a chat to ask about it. And they there were no current deals. Then, a few weeks later, they had the $49 deal again.
it was a special offer from a month or so ago?

I agree with this but the worst part is even with Walmart+, you need to shop a min of $35 for delivery? This is something Walmart needs to fix. Instead of individual deliveries, they could deliver through a small truck just the way Kroger does.

Went to my sams app this morning and a big pop-up said walmart + is now included. All I needed to do was like the account...done and done!

You can get a free Walmart+ membership if you already have a Sam's Club Plus membership.
