I have both but W+ on my name and Sams+ in SO's name, so can't link them for refund 😂
Edit: just linked both accounts from W+ app. All it asked was Sam's Club login/pwd and issued refund for prorated W+ membership. I had used Amex offer for W+, so Amex may take back the credit but I'll still get some back. So that's a win.
Community Reviews
This bundle links Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus into one annual membership, and the strongest upside is the prorated refund or credit that can appear when the accounts are linked. The linking flow is usually simple through the Sam's or Walmart app, and the Walmart+ benefit can show up immediately. Reported refund amounts range from a few dollars to well over $70, but the charge math is inconsistent, with some upgrades showing $22, $48, $58, or the full $120. The bundle also appears to replace separate renewal timing and may not work cleanly with Amex credits or senior discounts.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, linking can trigger an immediate prorated Walmart+ refund, but the amount varies by how much time is left on the current plan. Reported refunds range from a few dollars to over $90, and some renewals only produced a small refund instead of the expected larger credit.
The bundle is an auto-renewing annual plan, and the renewal can revert to the full bundled price unless you cancel before the renewal date. Some users saw the Walmart+ side roll into the Sam's renewal cycle, while others were quoted different prorated amounts depending on their existing membership timing.
Open the Sam's Club app or Walmart app and follow the in-app prompt to link the accounts. Matching the email and phone number on both accounts can help the link go through cleanly, and the Walmart side should then show Sam's Club Plus with Walmart+ included.
The bundle may not work cleanly with Amex Walmart+ credits because the promo is structured as an annual bundled membership, while the Amex benefit is monthly. Linking can also stop the Amex statement credit from applying, even though Walmart+ remains included in the bundle.
The comments do not confirm a Sam's Club gas discount, and the bundle is described as a linked membership rather than a clear two-person plan. Questions about adding a second person were raised, but no confirmed answer appears in the thread.

I tried linking the two off the announcement page in OP and it wanted to charge me $120/year. So the deal isn't really gonna work for Amex Platinum members, since the WM+ offer is for monthly payment, not annual payment. Too bad, woulda been a nice side perk to get a sams club membership for only an extra $22 a year.
I'm in a rural area, so other memberships like Target 360 and Kroger Boost are basically worthless. And Costco is way too far away to make it a regular trip. I've gotten my money's worth out of both Walmart and Sam's Club Plus memberships, but I did sign up for AARP a while back to get discounted Walmart+. But hey, I'll take free!
