I have both but W+ on my name and Sams+ in SO's name, so can't link them for refund 😂
Edit: just linked both accounts from W+ app. All it asked was Sam's Club login/pwd and issued refund for prorated W+ membership. I had used Amex offer for W+, so Amex may take back the credit but I'll still get some back. So that's a win.
Community Reviews
This bundle ties Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus into one annual membership, and the main appeal is getting both perks with a simple account link and, in many cases, a prorated refund on the unused Walmart+ portion. The linking process is often described as quick through the Walmart or Sam's app, and some accounts show instant access with no extra charge. Pricing can be inconsistent, though, with checkout sometimes showing $48, $53, $78, $95, $109, or the full $120 instead of the advertised add on price. It also appears to conflict with some existing discounts and American Express credits, so the final cost depends heavily on account setup and timing.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, linking can trigger a prorated refund or credit on the Walmart+ side, and the amount depends on how much time is left on the current term. Reported refunds range from a few dollars to about $95, while some users saw no extra charge when the accounts were already aligned.
If you already have Sam's Club Plus, Walmart+ can be added at no extra cost by linking the accounts. The link flow can appear in the Walmart app or Sam's app, and some users were prompted to connect immediately after signing in.
Yes, the bundle can renew at the full annual price unless it is canceled before renewal. Some users also reported that linking changed their renewal setup and replaced a lower Walmart+ renewal offer with the bundled annual charge.
It may not work cleanly with Amex-linked Walmart+ because the promo is tied to an annual Walmart+ plan, while Amex Walmart+ is billed monthly. Linking can also remove the Amex statement credit and leave Sam's Club Plus billed annually in full.
It becomes an auto-renewing annual bundle that gives access to both Walmart+ benefits and Sam's Club Plus perks for one annual plan fee plus taxes. If you enroll through Walmart, the bundle is billed as a single annual plan; if you enroll through Sam's, the access and billing follow Sam's terms.

I tried linking the two off the announcement page in OP and it wanted to charge me $120/year. So the deal isn't really gonna work for Amex Platinum members, since the WM+ offer is for monthly payment, not annual payment. Too bad, woulda been a nice side perk to get a sams club membership for only an extra $22 a year.
I'm in a rural area, so other memberships like Target 360 and Kroger Boost are basically worthless. And Costco is way too far away to make it a regular trip. I've gotten my money's worth out of both Walmart and Sam's Club Plus memberships, but I did sign up for AARP a while back to get discounted Walmart+. But hey, I'll take free!
