I have both but W+ on my name and Sams+ in SO's name, so can't link them for refund 😂
Edit: just linked both accounts from W+ app. All it asked was Sam's Club login/pwd and issued refund for prorated W+ membership. I had used Amex offer for W+, so Amex may take back the credit but I'll still get some back. So that's a win.
Community Reviews
This bundle ties Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus into one annual membership, and the strongest draw is the ability to link existing accounts and get prorated refunds or free Walmart+ access when Sam's is already active. The linking flow is usually simple through the Walmart or Sam's app, and some accounts show instant credits or refunds after the match. The main catch is pricing math that often does not match the advertised extra $22, with charges ranging from a few dollars to the full $120 depending on renewal timing and account setup. It also appears to conflict with some existing discounts and credits, so the bundle works best when the renewal dates line up cleanly.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, linking the accounts can trigger a prorated Walmart+ refund, and the refund amount depends on your remaining term and prior discounts. Reported refunds ranged from a few dollars to over $90, and the link flow can be done through the Walmart or Sam's app after signing in to both accounts.
The bundle is an auto-renewing annual plan with one annual fee for both memberships, but the amount shown can vary based on what you already have and how much time is left on your current membership. Some existing Walmart+ members saw a small prorated charge or refund, while others were quoted the full $120 or a higher upgrade amount at checkout.
Yes, but if you link them, the bundle can change which membership is treated as the main one and may affect renewal pricing and refunds. Some users kept the accounts separate to preserve a cheaper Walmart+ renewal offer or avoid being forced into the full bundled renewal price.
It may not. The bundle can replace the separate Walmart+ billing that Amex credits apply to, and the linking screen warns that American Express statement credits will no longer apply once the accounts are combined.
The comments do not confirm an extra household member for Walmart+ from this bundle. One question raised whether Sam's Club Plus still allows a second person, but no clear answer was provided in the thread.

I tried linking the two off the announcement page in OP and it wanted to charge me $120/year. So the deal isn't really gonna work for Amex Platinum members, since the WM+ offer is for monthly payment, not annual payment. Too bad, woulda been a nice side perk to get a sams club membership for only an extra $22 a year.
I'm in a rural area, so other memberships like Target 360 and Kroger Boost are basically worthless. And Costco is way too far away to make it a regular trip. I've gotten my money's worth out of both Walmart and Sam's Club Plus memberships, but I did sign up for AARP a while back to get discounted Walmart+. But hey, I'll take free!
