I have both but W+ on my name and Sams+ in SO's name, so can't link them for refund 😂
Edit: just linked both accounts from W+ app. All it asked was Sam's Club login/pwd and issued refund for prorated W+ membership. I had used Amex offer for W+, so Amex may take back the credit but I'll still get some back. So that's a win.
Community Reviews
This bundle ties Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus together, with account linking unlocking the other membership at no extra cost or a prorated refund if both were already active. The strongest upside is the convenience of one annual plan, plus Walmart+ shipping and delivery perks alongside Sam's Club member prices, curbside pickup, and 2 percent Sam's Cash. The main catch is that pricing is inconsistent, with some upgrades showing much more than the advertised as little as $22, and the math depends on existing discounts and renewal timing. Linking can also be finicky, especially when emails, phone numbers, or account ownership do not match.
Common Questions (5)
No. The $22 figure is only the incremental cost in some cases, and the actual charge can be much higher depending on your current membership status, renewal timing, or discounted Walmart+ rate. Reported checkout amounts include about $47, $48, $51.55, $58 plus tax, $78 with tax, $95, $109, and even $120.
Yes. The link flow appears in either app as a pop-up or prompt to connect the two accounts, and some users completed it from the Sam's app while others did it from the Walmart app. Matching the account email or phone number can help the link complete successfully.
Yes. Existing Sam's Club Plus members can link their Walmart account and activate Walmart+ with no additional charge, and the Walmart+ benefits then run alongside the Sam's membership term. If the accounts are already linked, Walmart+ can show as included immediately.
Linking the accounts can trigger a prorated refund of the remaining Walmart+ value, and the amount depends on how much time is left before renewal. Examples in the thread range from a few dollars to about $95, with some users also seeing the renewal date move to the Sam's membership term.
It can. The linked bundle may stop Walmart+ Amex statement credits from applying, and the monthly Amex reimbursement setup does not appear to combine cleanly with the annual bundled membership.

I've never seen the benefit of the Walmart+ accounts for me. I usually can find $35 worth of Walmart items to get free shipping every 2-3 weeks. Also typically the local Walmart will deliver most of my items to my door sometimes in less than 24 hours. Am I missing something?!? I have tried the Walmart+ free trial but I couldn't find anything it offered beyond what I was already getting with the basic account.
Sam's Plus has been slowly increasing the membership price over the years while reducing the benefits. I am not sure if paying $120 for a Sam's Plus membership is worth it for me if that's where they are going, even if it includes Walmart+. The only reason I have Sam's Plus is for the free shipping, since the closest Sam's to me is 45 minutes away, whereas the local Walmart is 15 minutes away.
I think I will keep my basic Walmart & Sam's Plus accounts separate for now, until I see how much it is going to cost to renew my Sam's Plus membership in a few months.

How paying $22 extra on top of useless Walmart+ is such a great deal? What is the hype.
I agree Amazon needs competition, but W+ is not it. Not to mention their horrendous CS
