I have both but W+ on my name and Sams+ in SO's name, so can't link them for refund 😂
Edit: just linked both accounts from W+ app. All it asked was Sam's Club login/pwd and issued refund for prorated W+ membership. I had used Amex offer for W+, so Amex may take back the credit but I'll still get some back. So that's a win.
It does remove the annual dance of making a new account which isn't worthless, but I'm not sure it's that amazing of a slickdeal. Great for set it and forget it folks though.
Edit: reading it again, it seems like the play is to make WM+ your "main" by adding on Sam's for $22, then hope that you can still get the occasional $49.99 base renewal offer when canceling. It sounds like if you link existing accounts for both then Sam's becomes your main at $120/year, and I haven't personally seen discounted renewals when canceling with Sam's.

This bundle ties Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus into one annual membership, with Walmart+ included at no extra cost for Sam's Plus members and an upgrade path for existing Walmart+ accounts. The strongest upside is the prorated refund or credit many received when linking accounts, sometimes with the new membership taking effect immediately. Setup is usually done through the Walmart or Sam's app, but the linking flow can be finicky, especially when emails, primary accounts, or existing discounts do not match. Some memberships also show unexpected charges or lose Amex and other promo credits, so the final price depends on current renewal timing.
Common Questions (5)
Sometimes yes, but the linking flow is much more reliable when the Walmart and Sam's emails match or when you start from the Sam's side and enter the Walmart login. If the wrong account is linked, creating a new Walmart account with the Sam's email or using the primary Sam's account can fix it.
Yes, linking can trigger a prorated Walmart+ refund, and the amount depends on how much time is left before renewal. Some refunds were only a few dollars, while others were much larger when the membership had many months remaining.
The bundle is an annual plan with a single $120 fee, but existing members may see a prorated charge or refund based on how much time is left on the current membership. For some Walmart+ members, the add-on shows as little as $22; for others, the checkout amount is higher because it depends on current renewal timing and any existing discounts.
Yes, if the accounts are eligible and the linking flow completes, Walmart+ can be added at no additional cost for Sam's Club Plus members. The process usually starts in the Walmart or Sam's app, asks for the Sam's login, and then activates Walmart+ on the linked account.
The $22 figure is only the incremental cost in some cases, usually when the current Walmart+ plan is already at full price and the renewal timing lines up. If you already have a discounted Walmart+ rate, a monthly Amex-linked plan, or a different renewal date, the checkout price can be much higher or the promo may not apply.

I've never seen the benefit of the Walmart+ accounts for me. I usually can find $35 worth of Walmart items to get free shipping every 2-3 weeks. Also typically the local Walmart will deliver most of my items to my door sometimes in less than 24 hours. Am I missing something?!? I have tried the Walmart+ free trial but I couldn't find anything it offered beyond what I was already getting with the basic account.
Sam's Plus has been slowly increasing the membership price over the years while reducing the benefits. I am not sure if paying $120 for a Sam's Plus membership is worth it for me if that's where they are going, even if it includes Walmart+. The only reason I have Sam's Plus is for the free shipping, since the closest Sam's to me is 45 minutes away, whereas the local Walmart is 15 minutes away.
I think I will keep my basic Walmart & Sam's Plus accounts separate for now, until I see how much it is going to cost to renew my Sam's Plus membership in a few months.

How paying $22 extra on top of useless Walmart+ is such a great deal? What is the hype.
I agree Amazon needs competition, but W+ is not it. Not to mention their horrendous CS
