This bundle ties Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus into one annual membership, with Walmart+ included at no extra cost for Sam's Plus members and an add on path for existing Walmart+ members. The strongest upside is the prorated refund or credit that appears after linking, and the setup usually works through a pop up in the Walmart or Sam's app. The main catch is that the price math varies by current renewal timing and existing discounts, so some accounts see only a small refund or a much higher upgrade charge. It is a convenient way to consolidate both memberships if the account linking lines up.

Common Questions (5)

  • The link flow appears in the Walmart app, the Sam's Club app, or the Sam's Club website as a pop-up or invite to connect accounts. It usually asks for the other account's login, and matching email addresses or using the primary account can help when linking fails.

  • Linking the accounts can trigger a prorated refund of the remaining Walmart+ value, and the renewal date is updated to the Sam's Club membership cycle. The refund amount depends on how much time is left on the Walmart+ term, so some people get only a few dollars while others get much more.

  • Yes, but the $22 add-on only applies in some cases and is prorated based on your current membership timing and pricing. If your Walmart+ is discounted, already renewed, or not on the expected annual plan, the checkout amount can be much higher than $22.

  • It may not work cleanly with Amex-based Walmart+ credits, especially monthly reimbursement offers. Linking can cancel the statement credit arrangement and switch Walmart+ to the bundled annual plan, so the Amex credit may stop applying.

  • Yes, the bundled membership is an auto-renewing annual plan, and it can renew at the full $120 unless you cancel or change renewal settings. Several comments note that the renewal date shifts to the combined plan and that auto-renew should be disabled if you do not want another full-year charge.

I have a Sam's Club Plus membership that costs me around $110 a year. They sent me an email that gifted me Walmart+ for free.

Is there any discount on Walmart memberships for Sam's Plus members or is it only the other way around?

I just got an email stating that Walmart+ is now included with your Sam's plus membership and all I had to do was link my Sam's membership to my Walmart account. I did that this morning and it didn't cost me anything extra.

Always thought this would have been a better move for Walmart/Sam's Club. I have both but W+ on my name and Sams+ in SO's name, so can't link them for refund 😂 Edit: just linked both accounts from W+ app. All it asked was Sam's Club login/pwd and issued refund for prorated W+ membership. I had used Amex offer for W+, so Amex may take back the credit but I'll still get some back. So that's a win.
I got the link for refund notice today too I thought that was pretty cool for them to be proactive with. I'd have been up in the air about renewing Sam's plus as I use it far less often, it's on the other end of my county, but worth it to keep for the combo now

I already have both memberships and it included
With the Sam's Club membership you do not have to be new. Just link your Sam's Club account.

I've got Walmart+ for $58 a year through aarp ($15 per year, saves you 40 on Walmart+) it looks like it will renew at $120 /year, so I'd be losing my discount

So how do you link them together? I am not sure if I understand. So I have Sam's Club plus membership and the Walmart plus membership currently. So if I already paid for the Walmart membership for the year in June so do you give you a refund? I am confused.

not sure if I'm understanding this correctly? If I already have a Walmart+ sub, is it only an additional $22 to upgrade to a Sam's Club Plus membership and get both?

Did you try linking them to see what you would get?
