This bundle combines Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus into one annual membership, with Walmart+ included at no extra cost for Sam's Plus members and an upgrade path for existing Walmart+ accounts. The strongest upside is the prorated refund or credit that can appear after linking, and the setup often works through the Walmart or Sam's app with a simple account link. The main catch is that pricing depends on current renewal timing and existing discounts, so some accounts are charged far more than the advertised $22 add on. Email matching, primary account status, and Amex or other third party billing can also complicate activation.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes. Linking the accounts can trigger a prorated Walmart+ refund, and the refund amount depends on how much time remains before renewal. Some refunds were instant, while others took a day or more to appear.

  • Often they do, but not always. Several successful links required matching the email addresses or using the primary account, while other links worked by entering the Walmart login from the Sam's Club side even with different emails.

  • Usually no. The bundle is set up as an annual plan, so monthly Walmart+ billing through Amex Platinum or similar statement-credit setups may not convert cleanly and can lose the credit benefit when linked.

  • Sometimes, but not always. Some users linked their existing accounts successfully, while others were told the process requires opening a new Walmart+ account tied to the Sam's email, especially when the current Walmart+ account was already active or tied to another service.

  • The bundle is an auto-renewing annual membership with a single yearly fee, but the amount you pay can be prorated based on how much time is left on your current membership. Existing Walmart+ members have seen upgrade charges ranging from a few dollars to around $22, while some current Sam's Plus members were linked at no extra cost.

"Can I upgrade if I have Walmart+ Assist or Walmart+ Student?
Yes. Assist & Student discounts apply to standalone Walmart+ memberships & don't carry over to Walmart+ with Sam's Club Plus. We'll show your upgrade price before you confirm."

For The record, it's full price if you're on either of those two programs according to the upgrade price. If you don't have those programs, you should know that you pay half of what everybody else pays for the membership fees, which means this deal will actually have you paying more than you do now.

It's a shame, because I would have gone for this for the free shipping from Sam's club, but it's not worth it to me to lose my previous discount to get this one.

I linked our accounts but have not received or heard anything about a refund. Walmart+ was renewed in July. We have had Sams + for years. Is anyone else waiting to hear about their refund? The accounts were linked on Tuesday night.
they send an email almost immediately after linking your account. the email goes to the email address of your walmart+ account from

I'm having the same issue. On Sam's website it said that it's linked, while on Walmart I keep getting error when trying to link.
sams says linked means you have to open new w+ with same email address. Existing w+ won't connect to your existing sams. That is my understanding. I will wait till w+ expire and then I will use linked w+ with sams which might be using new email. There is no way you can connect both of your existing w+ and sams plus.

Does your Sam's account show you linked the two accounts?
Go to the Walmart site. Log in with the email addy that you use for Sam's.
Use the option to share benefits and 'invite' yourself to link the accounts.
yes, I have to use sams email to open new w+ account. My existing w+ cant be linked to sams. It can be cancelled but swap email. It means I have 2 w+ account, one is current a/c (first email) and another is new from sams link (2nd email).

The issue is you didn't provide your Walmart+ email address for it to link to.
The system applied the free Walmart+ to the same email address even though you didn't have a account with
the same email address as your Sam's account.

Two benefits that may be overlooked:
You can share the Walmart+ account with another family member.
Burger King linked accounts get 25% of one order per day and a free Whopper with any purchase every quarter.

I believe it's only on the same Payment method. Same address. So no ability to family to someone in another state. I tried with mom. hope it expands.

I don't have a payment method linked to my main Walmart+ account (hubbys)
Linked to my long time account just fine to 'share the Walmart+ benefits.
