I have both but W+ on my name and Sams+ in SO's name, so can't link them for refund ๐
Edit: just linked both accounts from W+ app. All it asked was Sam's Club login/pwd and issued refund for prorated W+ membership. I had used Amex offer for W+, so Amex may take back the credit but I'll still get some back. So that's a win.

This bundle links Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus into one annual membership, and the main appeal is getting both perks together with prorated refunds when accounts are linked. The linking flow is usually simple through the Sam's or Walmart app, and several accounts show instant refunds ranging from a few dollars to much larger amounts. The catch is that the price math is inconsistent, with some upgrades showing the expected small add on and others jumping to much higher charges or full annual pricing. It also appears to replace separate renewal discounts and can affect Amex credits, so the final cost depends heavily on existing membership timing.
Account linking can trigger a prorated Walmart+ refund after entering Sam's Club login details.
Some upgrades or links show Walmart+ as included with no extra charge when Sam's Club Plus is already active.
The bundled plan can align renewal timing so Walmart+ expires when Sam's Club Plus expires unless re-signed.
Walmart+ benefits can appear instantly after linking accounts in the Walmart experience.
Upgrade pricing can mismatch the advertised "as little as $22" amount and show higher charges like $48 or $53.11.
The bundle can auto-renew and charge for another year if membership is not canceled before expiration.
Linking can interfere with American Express statement credits, even though Walmart+ may still be included at no additional cost.
Prorated refunds can be much smaller than expected, including cases showing only a $7 refund.

I've never seen the benefit of the Walmart+ accounts for me. I usually can find $35 worth of Walmart items to get free shipping every 2-3 weeks. Also typically the local Walmart will deliver most of my items to my door sometimes in less than 24 hours. Am I missing something?!? I have tried the Walmart+ free trial but I couldn't find anything it offered beyond what I was already getting with the basic account.
Sam's Plus has been slowly increasing the membership price over the years while reducing the benefits. I am not sure if paying $120 for a Sam's Plus membership is worth it for me if that's where they are going, even if it includes Walmart+. The only reason I have Sam's Plus is for the free shipping, since the closest Sam's to me is 45 minutes away, whereas the local Walmart is 15 minutes away.
I think I will keep my basic Walmart & Sam's Plus accounts separate for now, until I see how much it is going to cost to renew my Sam's Plus membership in a few months.

How paying $22 extra on top of useless Walmart+ is such a great deal? What is the hype.
I agree Amazon needs competition, but W+ is not it. Not to mention their horrendous CS
