I have both but W+ on my name and Sams+ in SO's name, so can't link them for refund ๐
Edit: just linked both accounts from W+ app. All it asked was Sam's Club login/pwd and issued refund for prorated W+ membership. I had used Amex offer for W+, so Amex may take back the credit but I'll still get some back. So that's a win.
Community Reviews
This bundle ties Walmart Plus and Sam's Club Plus together, with the main appeal being that existing Sam's Plus members can activate Walmart Plus at no extra charge and existing Walmart Plus members can add Sam's for a prorated amount. The linked accounts often trigger instant refunds or credits, and the app flow is usually straightforward once the login details match. The main catch is that the price is highly prorated, so charges range from a few dollars to the full $120 depending on renewal timing and account setup. Some links also appear to cancel Amex Walmart Plus credits or remove a separate Walmart Plus discount.
Sam's Club Plus members can activate Walmart+ at no extra charge by linking accounts in the Sam's app.
Account linking can trigger a prorated Walmart+ refund after entering Sam's Club login details.
The joint program can align renewal timing so Walmart+ expires when Sam's Club Plus expires unless re-signed.
Walmart+ benefits can appear instantly after linking the memberships.
Upgrade pricing can mismatch the advertised "as little as $22" amount and show higher charges like $48 or $53.11.
Walmart+ renewal offers can disappear after linking, leading to full-price renewal charges for both memberships.
Prorated refunds can be much smaller than expected, including refunds shown as $7 or $4.06.
Linking can affect American Express statement credits, even though Walmart+ may still be included.

I've never seen the benefit of the Walmart+ accounts for me. I usually can find $35 worth of Walmart items to get free shipping every 2-3 weeks. Also typically the local Walmart will deliver most of my items to my door sometimes in less than 24 hours. Am I missing something?!? I have tried the Walmart+ free trial but I couldn't find anything it offered beyond what I was already getting with the basic account.
Sam's Plus has been slowly increasing the membership price over the years while reducing the benefits. I am not sure if paying $120 for a Sam's Plus membership is worth it for me if that's where they are going, even if it includes Walmart+. The only reason I have Sam's Plus is for the free shipping, since the closest Sam's to me is 45 minutes away, whereas the local Walmart is 15 minutes away.
I think I will keep my basic Walmart & Sam's Plus accounts separate for now, until I see how much it is going to cost to renew my Sam's Plus membership in a few months.

How paying $22 extra on top of useless Walmart+ is such a great deal? What is the hype.
I agree Amazon needs competition, but W+ is not it. Not to mention their horrendous CS
