I'm hoping Lowes will start putting their ego equipment on end of season clearance soon. I got the 2 battery version of this blower last season for around this price: https://slickdeals.net/f/18656269
Yours is a handheld tool only. This is a backpack with a battery. The battery alone costs more than this but the blower is underrated. This product looks like discontinued or on clearance.

All EGO batteries are outrageously overpriced! The cheap $100 knock off's give 75% of the same performance at a fraction of the OEM overpriced point. This has been tested and proven repeatedly. Anyone considering one of these blowers already has EGO products, so they already have some outrageously overpriced batteries on hand and in stock. The tool is all they need. And this back pack blower is still hand held and still overpriced and still underpowered. This is very likely a soon to be discontinued item if it's not already. Because way better has existed for quite a while now. This one pales by comparison to other EGO offerings.
I have this and just in time for fall clean up after county banned gas blower and junked my Husq 580BTS. This is nowhere as powerful (useless on wet leaves) but I can get about 30 min of fairly continuous run time, longer if intermitantly. And my wrist/arm isn't as tired. Hose tends to blow itself off so taping it together might be a good mod.
I also have a battery link extension from eBay (it's an extension cable for battery so it can be in a backpack or on a tool belt instead of in the equipment) making it much lighter to hold equipment for extended period of time, and it works great with string trimmers. If I were to choose I would much prefer going with a 700-800+ cfm blower and battery link extension instead of backpack blower for added blowing power.
