Nolan doesn't care for the "A" portion.
That's unfortunate, some enthusiasts value that portion just as much,if not more!
Well it's only the "V" portion, even then it's not a reference transfer of it.

I agree, having seen it 3 times, it took me a second watching to appreciate it a little more.
I still take a little issue with the lazy plot device of "guy retires from job, yet somehow years later he's still the best one". Lots of movies do it just to speed things up, but I give this one a pass because it was so strong all around.
