This rechargeable wet and dry body trimmer is best at comfortable body grooming, with reports of close trimming, no snags, and a gentler feel on sensitive areas. Battery life is a standout, and the current promo code can bring the price down further if the Amazon coupon is removed first. The main cautions are the guard, which can fall off or make the difference between a clean trim and cuts, and the charging setup, which appears to vary between USB B, USB C, and a proprietary two pin cable. A solid low cost trimmer if you are careful with the guard and charger details.

  • Men trimming sensitive body areas, because it cuts close without snags and feels gentle on the skin.

  • Shoppers who want a long-lasting cordless trimmer, because the battery can run for months between charges.

  • People who trim with a guard, because the shortest guard can prevent nicks while still working well.

  • People who want a quick body-hair cleanup before a regular shave, because it knocks down stubble and stray hairs well.

  • People who want a guard-free shave, because the blade can cut, prick, and leave blood without steady handling.

  • Shoppers expecting a close, clean shave, because it can leave noticeable stubble instead of finishing smooth.

  • People who need a durable trimmer for long-term use, because the rubber can turn sticky and the motor can fail after about a year.

  • Men with very thick hair, because the trimmer can struggle badly enough to break on first use.

Literally just bought this damn thing at full price like 2 weeks ago. Ugh, either way is a good trimmer and feels much safer down there

CTGLRYIN still seems to work. If you're using the Amazon app you might be missing the step of tapping on the arrow that appears in the promo code box to apply the code (before tapping the Continue button).

This thing is terrible, I would caution those that are considering purchasing this to buy something else. If you like the sensation of getting pricked by a bunch of tiny needles that loves getting caught on your sensitive gonad area then by all means, the masochist in you will enjoy this.

Proprietary charger. 😬
Bought this last time it was on sale. It's a standard USB-C charger.

That is correct.

This deal was slightly cheaper in August. Those products shipped with the USB-A to proprietary plug. Per the founder of Manscape: The MANSPOT Manscape Trimmer comes with a proprietary charging cable — it's not USB-C or a standard charger. It uses a special 2-prong connector (5V, 1A) designed specifically for this trimmer.

It's USB-A,
If they have 'recently' switched and changed their manufacturing process out of China to USB-C, it is still a proprietary charger. It's one of the drawbacks reviewers have posted about. (Norelco and Braun also use proprietary chargers although theirs plug directly into an outlet. The Manspot needs a usb wall adapter or other usb connection that provides enough juice for charging.)

The founder says to contact the company if the cable has been lost, damaaged, etc.
(source: comments made online by founder of Manscape and product inserts included with the shaver.)

Edit: here's a review explaining older versions DID have USB-C, but newer versions do NOT: https://www.amazon.com/review/R293Q0ZXWZOVPX
Edit2: on the Amazon page it states there IS old and new packaging, and they are shipped randomly. I know the old packaging is USB-A to 2-prong proprietary. Seems like a mixed bag if one will actually get USB-C, if that's in the "new" packaging.

I'm happy to be proven wrong at this point as there appears to be lot's of confusion.
I have the green model with the USB-A.
If folks jump on this, perhaps they can report back if they got the new packaging and USB-C.
Just bought the black version and it came with the old charger. Returning this back.

Old version had USB-C. New version has the proprietary charging interface (2-pin). I ordered one yesterday to confirm - immediately set up a return when I saw the terrible design change.
Same here.

Why is the proprietary charging interface (2-pin) considered negative?
Could someone please confirm if it comes with charger?

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I bought this over a year ago, and my initial impression was that it was a perfect little trimmer, and how can anything else perform any better?

I did try to use it on the balls, but that created a traumatic experience, so I never really used it for that.

Then, after about a year, it started sounding weird and cutting less well. I popped the trimmer head off, and the inside was covered in rust, and the motor died. The adage, you get what you pay for, holds true here, unfortunately.
