Amazon Grocery ground beef at this price is mainly appealing as a convenient, USDA inspected 80 percent lean option for chili, burgers, and other basics. The deal can get even better with a random $5 coupon or a 50 percent coupon, and the five pound limit was enough to stock up. Quality and flavor were described as comparable to grocery store and Costco beef. Caveats are that pricing and availability vary by area, with some carts showing full price or no stock, and the country of origin was unclear.

Canadian lean beef trimmings is what was in circulation over the last 10 years until the new tariffs this year. Additionally the 2001 ban on Argentinian beef was imposed after Foot and mouth disease (virus) was found in the supply, after Argentina started vaccinated their cows against it the meat was slowly reintroduced, yet restricted by a strict USA tariff, until now. Even China passed on importing this current meat they are selling. LOL no thanks
