FYI you can place this in front of a motion sensored hvac thermostat in hotel rooms so that the a/c remains on all night . U may have to tape it on the wall just under the thermostat. I've never actually done this but have read that it works . YMMV

I've yet to encounter a motion sensing thermostat in a hotel and I've stayed in 0-5 stars.

Might keep be enough to keep predators away at night in my chicken run. Post dim light on it and have it cast onto the wall.

Holiday inns and AirBnBs are the worst. Keep this bookmarked, the author keeps it well updated. If the thermostat requires a PiN, look up what the default PIN is. 0000 and 1234 are pretty common. I try those 2 before heading to Google.
