This PowerSpec build stands out as a strong value for gaming, pairing an RTX 5070 with 32GB of DDR5 and a 1TB NVMe drive. The Ryzen 5 7500X3D is described as close to the 7800X3D in gaming, and the AM5 platform leaves room for future CPU upgrades. The main knocks are the 12GB of VRAM, which could limit settings later, and the case design, which is not especially attractive. Overall, it looks well balanced for current gaming needs and easy to grow into.

  • The RTX 5070 pairing with 32GB DDR5 can offer strong value for the current market needs.

  • The Ryzen 5 7500X3D gaming performance can rival the 7800X3D for many current titles.

  • The included 32GB DDR5 and 1TB NVMe configuration can make the system appealing for immediate use.

  • Micro Center's in-store warranty and repair process can reduce hassle compared with shipping a prebuilt out of state.

  • The RTX 5070's 12GB VRAM can become limiting over the longer term.

  • Open-box pricing can be volatile, so checking frequently may be necessary to catch a better offer.

  • The Ryzen 5 7500X3D can be on the lackluster side, even if it may not bottleneck gaming.

  • The case aesthetics can be a drawback for buyers who care about appearance.

Perhaps buy, sell the CPU and buy a more powerful CPU?

The performance of the 7500x3d rivals the 7800x3d. Ryzen's weakness is the 6-core R5 is almost even with the R7 in gaming. It's the reason AMD waits a generation before releasing R5 x3d chips. Also Zen 5 is faster by a smaller margin from Zen 4 in comparison of Zen 3 to Zen 4.

Not a bad deal in today's market. The 32gb of ram and the 1tb nvme should tempt anyone who just has to have a computer right now.

Is this a better deal than the 9070xt rig at 2k?
Are you asking about the very one that I just posted a link on ?
I mean, I think they are both good deals. Depends on how future proof you want to go.
I like multiplayer shooters and the 9070XT wipes the floor with the 5070 in everything.

How's this compared to the Walmart MSI deal with the 5070?

I had bought a powerspec with a 4070ti and 64gb ram a few years ago on christmas. I went to the store to pick up a different pc that was on sale and was supposedly in stock. The listing was wrong and they didn't have the pc.

The customer service guy was cool and price matched that pc with one that was $300 more expensive so I wouldnt go home empty handed.

I believe they have a free 1 year warranty where you can bring the PC in store and they'll repair it. No having to ship it out of state to a large company where you'll have no idea what's going on if it is farked.

Don't buy the extended protection plan or anti-virus software that they'll try to push on you. Neither are worth it imo.

All this to say, I have had zero problems with the powerspec. It is nicely built with no bloat installed and still runs very strong.

Open box near me is more expensive than new.
Keep checking back. Yesterday I noticed a G538 was listed open box at $1349 when the new one was dropped to $1100. This morning the open box dropped to $880.

Thanks for the deal! I wish people would start putting the VRAM in the title, or at very least in the description.

I have yet to see a prebuilt with anything other than the lowest VRAM for a particular card. 5070 only comes in 12gb.

Deal is crazy good for the RAM and GPU alone, so long as you can look past the ugly case.
