I prefer the Eufy e340 as it actually provides local storage and free viewing and downloading of past events.

It would pay for itself in a few months vs the ring monthly sub.

I switched to e340 from Ring Doorbell2 and this eufy only catch the postman once a week if I'm lucky when I set it to only detect human. The sensor on this thing is horrible. If you set it to catch all, it'll catch everything and drained the battery quickly. I'm going back to Ring. Lol.

You need to have it hard wired. I had the RING first gen from costco with a doorbell and it would sometimes miss someone coming up to it as well. Both products have issues. So I'm going to keep the E340 does a decent job without having an annual subscription. I couldn't switch my parents over because I can't find the transformer for their old house otherwise I would.

I set it to catch all bc I want to see the cars the drive by also. It's been a week since I've changed my battery and it says 90%. I can live with 1-2 months of battery life, someone suggested to buy an extra battery to swap out. Glad to have a removable battery.

I came from a google nest doorbell that needed to be taken off then charged with the unit. Eventually the lock button at the top broke, seems like a common issue but google dont care, they gave me $25 google credits to rot.
