Top Comments
Not premium, but great for the price.
The second, that I like better, is the Vankyo V700 Pro and it puts out 720 lumins tops and came with a 120 foot fabric screen. The detail and brightness of the V700 is very good. It is a larger unit but also has Google TV built into it. I paid around $50+ for this unit, but for the small difference in price, I think it is the better value. Both are refurbs or returns. They both work fine.
There are a lot of good deals on ebay and the best always show up on Slickdeals.
Community Reviews
This is a budget native 1080p projector that stands out for dark-room use, with solid picture quality for the price, mechanical focus and keystone, and handy flip and rotation controls for ceiling mounts or rear projection. It also works well for casual gaming, Halloween projections, and other simple setups, especially on a white wall or screen in a basement or bedroom. Brightness is limited at 240 lumens, so it looks best with the lights off and can wash out in daytime. The built-in Bluetooth has noticeable delay, and the lack of auto keystone or zoom is a common annoyance, making it a practical starter projector if those tradeoffs are fine.
Common Questions (4)
Yes. It has a button for flip and rotation for ceiling mounting or rear projection, plus mechanical focus and keystone adjustment. It does not have auto or remote keystone, so setup is manual.
It is not very bright and works best at night or in a dark room with blinds closed. In daylight or with light bleeding into the room, the image can look washed out.
It is fine for casual gaming and works well for Halloween projections or other dark-room uses. Fast action games like COD may feel too laggy, but single-player action games, RPGs, and projection effects should be usable.
Bluetooth audio has noticeable delay when paired to the projector itself. For better sync, connect the Bluetooth speaker to the streaming stick or media player instead of the projector.

With 240 lumens, the amount of light projected and the distance from the screen, will determine how bright the picture is. Think of a flashlight. If you had a weak flashlight, up close it may seem pretty bright, but the farther back you get the dimmer the light. The same thing for these projectors. That is why you see office type projectors start at 1000 lumens and more.
But for me, i a small bedroom, in the very dark, to throw up the smaller projector is fine. The distance from the projector to the wall/screen is not very much. But I am also not looking to get a 100 foot image. So if your use case is the same, then it is a great little macjhine.
I also found the power supply gets very hot. Im my research that is normal, but you shoould do you best to not cover it, etc. to ensure it stays as cool as possible. Mine worried me enough I contacted the seller and they comped me some money in case I needed to get a new power supply.
The focus was incredible. My daughters is mounted from the ceiling and she uses a high end pull down screen to project her movies or exercise videos on. This improves the brightness over fabric/sheet type of screen. Watching Netflix, etc. was definitely Ok.
- A person has bought the product for someone else, usually a relative and usually as a gift
- A downside of the product is mentioned which is common amongst all of the other competing products at the same price point
- The reviewer paid more for the product and even with the current lower price finds it to have been worth it
- The reviewer mentions the specific brand and model in an artificial or awkward way
- The reviewer has owned the product for an amount of time very specifically mentioned
These indicators are the product of my own experience and are my own opinion. The presence of these indicators does not constitute proof of anything, it is merely a signal that you may want to look at the review with a bit of a critical eye.- Some items are inherently more likely to be a gifted or used by someone other than the purchaser-reviewer. Items for kids / teens especially. Timmy the 5 year old isn't likely to leave a very articulate review on an online platform. And many platforms do not allow non purchasers to leave reviews. Amazon being an example.
- Common mentions like brightness, focus, connection methods, etc? Would those all be downsides that may be mentioned In a majority of reviews regardless of brand (in a product like this)? Are those commonalities inherently suspicious?
- how do you know what a reviewer paid for the item?
- I'd be a little more worried if the review generically referred to something without ever specifically mentioning it, would sound like boilerplate review copied and pasted countless times. And would be somewhat awkward as well. "This projector good, me likey!"
- Typically when somebody gives a review they specifically mention how long they owned it because it directly relates to their familiarity, and how much direct experience can be inferred from the opinion.
Personally I feel your "heuristics".... I need some serious work. Frankly they look like they were copied and pasted from Google AI....- A person has bought the product for someone else, usually a relative and usually as a gift

I cannot find the one for the 750S. Sometimes the same or similar unit comes up with different names. The Leisure 3 came up under $15, as an example.

I missed this and then saw the 750S a few months later.
I was very impressed with the auto focus feature.
S09PS0EL seems to work still, but sometimes it takes a couple of tries or a refresh for Amazon to accept codes.
promo code S09PS0EL at c/o takes $30 off
Wish me lucky!!
