Not premium, but great for the price.
The second, that I like better, is the Vankyo V700 Pro and it puts out 720 lumins tops and came with a 120 foot fabric screen. The detail and brightness of the V700 is very good. It is a larger unit but also has Google TV built into it. I paid around $50+ for this unit, but for the small difference in price, I think it is the better value. Both are refurbs or returns. They both work fine.
There are a lot of good deals on ebay and the best always show up on Slickdeals.
Community Reviews
This is a budget 1080p projector that works best in a dark room for casual movie nights, Halloween projections, or kid use. The picture is described as solid for the price, with decent brightness and contrast in basements or other low light spaces, and Bluetooth audio can work well with an external sound system. The main drawbacks are limited brightness in daylight, noisy fans, and no auto keystone or zoom, with built in Bluetooth audio delay also called out. It feels like a basic starter projector rather than a premium home theater unit.
Common Questions (5)
It is best in a dark room or at night; daylight use is only workable with blinds closed and the image can look washed out. In basements, windowless rooms, or with lights off, it is reported as bright enough for casual viewing.
Yes, it has mechanical focus and keystone, plus a button that flips and rotates the image for ceiling mounting and rear projection. It does not have auto keystone or remote keystone, which can be annoying for setup.
It can work well for casual gaming, single-player action games, RPGs, and Halloween or window projections in dark setups. Fast shooters and bright daytime projection are less suitable because of brightness limits and latency.
Yes. It does not include a built-in source, so a Roku stick, Shield TV, Apple TV, or similar device is needed for streaming. The projector's own smart features are less useful than an external player.
Yes, the built-in Bluetooth can have a noticeable delay. For synced audio, connect the Bluetooth speaker to the streaming device or media player instead of pairing it directly to the projector.
