This Happrun 1080p projector is best as a cheap starter or bedroom unit for dark rooms, basement setups, Halloween projections, and casual movie nights. The picture is solid for the price, with decent color, usable Bluetooth audio, and handy controls like flip, rotation, mechanical focus, and keystone. It works well with streaming sticks, Chromecast, and ceiling or rear projection setups. Brightness is limited, so daytime use needs blinds closed or a very dark room, and some setups struggle with edge to edge sharpness or noisy fans. A practical budget pick if you can live with its basic feature set.

  • The 1080p image can look solid for the price when used in a dark room environment.

  • Bluetooth audio can work well when paired with a soundbar or sound system for playback.

  • The projector includes flip and rotation controls for ceiling mounting and rear projection setups.

  • Mechanical focus and keystone adjustments help users dial in the image for different viewing arrangements.

  • Brightness can be too low for daytime viewing, making blinds-closed or nighttime use necessary.

  • The projector can struggle with edge-to-edge sharpness, with some areas staying blurry even after refocusing.

  • The lack of auto keystone adjustment can make setup annoying for frequent repositioning.

  • The built-in Bluetooth audio can introduce significant delay that hurts media sync.

I have the same one that I got unused, in an unopened box from eBay for $50, all in, about six months ago. I am using it now. I run it almost 24/7 and it's parked atop a box on a 90 inch body pillow in the back of my queen-sized day bed, so it's probably running hot, but it's starting to fade in one corner and spreading. It's good for the price, for sure. You need a fairly dark room or night time for a decent picture, but it's bright enough, if it's dark enough. It's alright for just being 1080p. My advice is to pay the extra $8 for the protection plan. Most smart projectors will spy on you for satan, just like everything else. This one does not. I use mine with a Shield TV with VPN, but an Apple TV works well too, both are better then are projector's smart features anyway. You don't need all those bells and whistles. It has Bluetooth to hook up to your soundbar or sound system that works well. I'm pulling the trigger again. Eventually, I'll get the fan fixed on my Optima 4k 240 hz, which they make hard to find and do, but this will keep me happy in the mean time. Definitely worth like $42 with the three year extended warranty and tax. Get it. If you don't like it, return it within 30 days. I have a ceiling mount for it, but can't find a piece for it. I'm ordering another one for like $8z. My cat, RICO, has also knocked it down many times, so that should make it last longer.

I paid $6 more for this a couple of day ago. It is actually impressive for the price. A button controls flip and rotation so you can ceiling mount it and/or do rear projection. Mechanical focus and keystone. You do need a source, so I used a ROKU stick that I have lying around. Decently bright, and the resolution is solid. Not premium, but great for the price.
Is it loud tho?

bought this last year for $76 for some Halloween projections, been happy with it for that purpose, got a 120" screen a month ago from Woot for $35 and it works great with it in our basement (lights off), been quite happy with the price and for $30 I bought another for this Halloween's projections, now I can run something else in another window
I want to project a Halloween "hologram" with this. I have to buy a mesh screen as well. AI said that this won't look very good using this projector. What are your thoughts for this application?

Some heuristics I have picked up that can indicate inauthentic reviews:
  1. A person has bought the product for someone else, usually a relative and usually as a gift
  2. A downside of the product is mentioned which is common amongst all of the other competing products at the same price point
  3. The reviewer paid more for the product and even with the current lower price finds it to have been worth it
  4. The reviewer mentions the specific brand and model in an artificial or awkward way
  5. The reviewer has owned the product for an amount of time very specifically mentioned
These indicators are the product of my own experience and are my own opinion. The presence of these indicators does not constitute proof of anything, it is merely a signal that you may want to look at the review with a bit of a critical eye.
Your cadence and phrasing is odd. Are you a bot?

I have one of these that I bought last year for the same price. I use it in my basement and have a Bluetooth speaker and Chromecast hooked up to it. I really have no complaints. It works great.
