Final verdict: I will be passing on the deal.
From what I can see, the earbuds are not needed - unnecessary. It doesn't to real-time translation, it does real-time TRANSCRIPTION.
AND, it needs constant data feed to send whatever IT hears to backend servers in the cloud. And, who knows what else it sends from the phone.
No voice in your ear, just displays on the phone. So... why do they need an earbud form? You could do the same using the phone mic. And, the earbuds aren't useful for listening to music. So... pass. Just sayin'.
Update: While the updated Amazon page only showed the $50 coupon, you can "add payment type or promo code" before submitting. That worked, and they show at $9.99 Still... I guess I should read the reviews first... lots of questions, now.
Original: Clicked "Get Deal at Amazon" earlier in the day on 10/22, and it showed $9.99 Went to buy it, 10/23, and price showed $99.99, but there was a $50 coupon. Looked in checkout, and don't see where to enter any code. So, it's a swing and a miss... well, can't say it's a total miss, but, it's not the earlier price. I'd get them at 9.99. Not so juicy at $49.99, for something that I really don't need.
