Community Reviews

The Logitech Ergo M575S is a thumb trackball built for comfortable desktop use, with strong ergonomics and a shape that can be easier on carpal tunnel than a standard mouse. It is praised for long-term comfort and solid everyday pointing, though it is not meant for gaming and could use more buttons or multi device Bluetooth pairing. The main cautions are button reliability and the need to keep the ball and sensors clean when movement gets finicky. It is a practical ergonomic pick if you want a low strain mouse for regular work.

  • Desk workers who want a thumb trackball for long sessions, because it can stay comfortable over extended use and avoid triggering carpal tunnel.

  • People who prefer a compact pointing device for desktop use, because the thumb trackball works well for everyday navigation even though it is not suited to gaming.

    burticus

  • Users willing to do occasional maintenance, because cleaning the ball and sensors can restore smooth pointer movement when dust buildup makes it feel finicky.

    c2nah777

  • People who like a trackball with a stable, familiar feel, because the design can be used flat without needing a more adjustable wedge setup.

    macbandit

  • People who want a mouse that can be left alone for years, because the buttons can double-click or stop clicking and the unit can fail over time.

    NervousHorn154gamingdroid

  • Gamers who need fast, precise aiming, because this thumb trackball is not good for gaming.

    burticus

  • Users who need a highly ergonomic vertical grip, because this model is not nearly as ergonomic as a vertical mouse.

    c2nah777

  • People who want a multi-device mouse with extra buttons, because it only has a couple of buttons and cannot pair to more than one device over Bluetooth.

What can I find the 25% off coupon?
You need to be enrolled in Unidays. Requires student email to enroll. Then search logitech from there to get a code. If I could get more than one I would have DM'd you. But I only had the one Unidays code I gave away.

I remember when these used to be like $15-17 each. I got a bunch, each time because they would inexplicably fail and get replaced. At $40 and the quality, it's not likely going to last.

PS, remember to clean the ball and the sensor if it's not working that great, but it's likely to have issues within short time. Likely planned obsolescence...
Agreed! Cleaning the ball sensors of the dust lint buildup is a regular thing every so often, You can tell when pointer movement gets finicky, that is the first thing to check and do for maintenance.
