Community Reviews

The Logitech Ergo M575S is a thumb trackball built for comfortable desktop use, with strong ergonomics and a shape that can be easier on carpal tunnel than a standard mouse. It is praised for long-term comfort and solid everyday pointing, though it is not meant for gaming and could use more buttons or multi device Bluetooth pairing. The main cautions are button reliability and the need to keep the ball and sensors clean when movement gets finicky. It is a practical ergonomic pick if you want a low strain mouse for regular work.

  • The Ergo M575S can provide extended comfort without triggering carpal tunnel symptoms for some users.

    redshirt72

  • The trackball can support quick angle changes by tilting between flat use and about a 30-degree angle.

    macbandit

  • Regular cleaning of the trackball ball sensors can restore finicky pointer movement caused by dust or lint buildup.

    c2nah777

  • The mouse can be used for desktop pointing tasks without being limited to gaming performance.

    burticus

  • The vertical MX trackball mouse can develop phantom double-clicking over time, which can force frequent replacements.

    bumfromjersey

  • Trackball units at around $40 may fail unexpectedly, and replacement history suggests reliability concerns.

    gamingdroid

  • Some Ergo M575S units can experience button issues such as double-clicking or failing to click.

    NervousHorn154

  • The basic Ergo model may be less ergonomic than a vertical setup, and DIY angle adjustments may not match the stability of the Plus.

What can I find the 25% off coupon?
You need to be enrolled in Unidays. Requires student email to enroll. Then search logitech from there to get a code. If I could get more than one I would have DM'd you. But I only had the one Unidays code I gave away.

I remember when these used to be like $15-17 each. I got a bunch, each time because they would inexplicably fail and get replaced. At $40 and the quality, it's not likely going to last.

PS, remember to clean the ball and the sensor if it's not working that great, but it's likely to have issues within short time. Likely planned obsolescence...
Agreed! Cleaning the ball sensors of the dust lint buildup is a regular thing every so often, You can tell when pointer movement gets finicky, that is the first thing to check and do for maintenance.
