no option to enter savings code
It's a few steps into checkout when you enter payment info (be careful not to paste in any spaces with the code)

On the "Secure Checkout" page, look for the text "Do you have a gift card or promo code?" and click on that. There's not a field to type into until after you click on that text, and it's not clear that that text is something you can click on (not a good UI). Make sure to enter it in the "Enter coupon code" field and not the "Enter gift card code" field that's right next to it. And be careful of extra spaces etc.

Is this price at the lowest for the past year? Was tempted at $199 and now it is $20 cheaper

This is an incredibly good. Had a pair of these over 15 years ago. I can't think of another speaker for this price that's this good. Slightly bright, really good with cinema, not bad with music either

I highly doubt these are currently made with the same drivers from 15 years ago.

How is the sound quality of energy? I typically buy mainstream polk, jbl, Klipsch. For the price thought these might be ok in a bonus room? What says ye?

If they are so good why don't you still have them?

96 dB sensitivity according to manufacture's spec. Are these easy to drive, even with low powered amplifiers?

I've seen a YouTube video where they were saying most of the "mainstream" brands, makers sold-out years ago and are being made by the same manufacturer in China.?

I have these speakers for 10 years. They sound great both with music and movies. Pair them with a sub and your surrounds and you are ready to go.

This brand was owned by voxx until very recently. Voxx also owned klipsch during this period. Independent testing shows that klipsch consistently overstated Sensitivity specs. One must wonder if they did the same with this brand. The lack of any professional reviews / bench measurements for this brand makes that a difficult comparison

As long as you have a receiver with bass management and a powered sub to do the power-intensive low end, sit within the typical 8-12ft distance from the speakers, and are not actively trying to inflict hearing loss upon yourself, I would say yes. Even if the 96db spec is "in room" not anechoic, that would put anechoic sensitivity to around 90db which is still a relatively easy load. But the high pass filter is key---it effectively flattens the playing field between cheap vs pricey AVRs/amps as well as speakers. Certain vested interests don't want you to know this, of course...hence they love to fabricate and spread the "b-b-but do I have enough watts" anxiety in order to upsell you, that's all.
