Too expensive. The white version usually comes with batteries for just a few bucks more.

Bought it once for $10.44 then the second time it was $9.91 for the charger with 8 AA batteries.

How well does this work? Bought the Powerowl version and it's ok with AA but overheats AAA batteries (which means I really don't trust it with any but the two-slot charger takes too long when dealing with multiple batteries for holiday lighting).
