Is the shovel the size of a bottle opener or am I tripping? TEMU has infiltrated Slick Deals. The bag is portrayed as a backpack when in fact, it's just a pouch.

You can count on the tourniquets being the kind of knockoffs that fail on use.

Oh, it's worse than that. It's one of those pretend tournequets that's just a length of rubber band material. The same stuff the phlobotomist uses to raise the artery on your arm so it's easier to insert the needle for a blood draw. (Hint: if what they're calling a "tourniquet" doesn't stop blood flow so much as enhance it, it's not in any way, shape or form a touriquet.)

if it were a mere knock off of a CAT tourniquet, that would be a huge step up.

It's certainly better than nothing. If you're interested in is as an automotive emergency kit, there are better options.

Not really. Most department stores like Target/Walmart will either have a small, decent first aid kid for under $10, or build your own with just the important stuff - wipes, bandaids, first aid/burn cream, maybe some Benadryl cream if you want to get extra. Most of the "survival" stuff is worthless, but having a folding shovel isn't the worst idea. Most camping sections of sports stores will have a smallish one for $20 or less, if you really feel you need it. Anything else useful in here would be covered with a standard pocket knife.

You could be all extra - my car's first aid kit would cover minor surgery but I have a big extended family with any number of medical issues so my needs are a bit different. You can also buy packages with single servings of most common meds from Amazon and other places for $20 for dozens of packets, which I do every few years to refresh. This past year I added both instant hot and doubled my instant cold packs. I'd say my kit cost me at most $40 total and I'm covered for anything up to where you'd get checked into a hospital.

Think of it this way - if you plan to be in a setting where your survival depends on a kit like this, would it be a good strategy to buy it from a noname Chinese manufacturer for $20? For all other scenarios, you likely don't need such a kit in the first place.

At the same time, having a kit like this in the trunk vs not having anything at all - sure, go for it!
