Edit: Anyone interested in running Linux on this should be aware that there's an issue with the USB-C ports on this and other Acer laptops. Mostly just creates log spam, but for me also prevents mounting a type-c NVME enclosure on a kernel newer than 6.14.

To my point, the Core Ultra 7 256V and its integrated GPU (Intel Arc Graphics 140V) are very capable of playing older games (pre-2020) at higher framerates with resolutions between 1080p - 1440p. Newer, more graphically demanding games (such as Unreal Engine 5 games) are also playable at 30-50fps framerates thanks to Intel Arc's AI upscaler called XeSS (similar to DLSS).
The battery life on these are INCREDIBLE. This laptop also has a 120hz screen compared to mine which has a 60hz screen. The screen is easily the weakest part of my laptop but the screen on this one should be better and a little brighter. This laptop paired with a VRR gaming monitor is very capable of playing everything but the most demanding modern games. I personally use my PS5 for the newer demanding games because it is a more powerful machine than this laptop but for everything else I prefer to play on this laptop.

The Aspire 16 AI stands out as a strong value for a thin and light laptop, pairing the Core Ultra 7 256V and Intel Arc 140V graphics with a 120Hz anti glare touchscreen and very good battery life. The chip is described as efficient and capable for older games, lighter modern titles, web browsing, Zoom, and everyday work. The main tradeoffs are the soldered 16GB memory and the 512GB SSD, which may feel tight for heavier storage needs. Costco also adds a two year warranty and 90 day return window, making it a solid long term option if those limits fit your use.
The Intel Arc 140V integrated graphics can play older games at 1080p to 1440p settings with higher framerates.
The Ultra V CPU design targets efficiency, which can support strong performance per watt for thin-and-light use.
Costco shoppers can benefit from a 2-year Costco warranty and a 90-day return window during the holiday season.
The 120Hz touchscreen is a meaningful upgrade over 60Hz variants in the Aspire lineup.
Soldered RAM limits future upgrades, which can be a drawback if you expect to move beyond 16GB.
The 512GB SSD can run out of space after Windows and downloads, potentially leaving little free capacity.
A USB-C port issue can create log spam and may prevent mounting a type-C NVMe enclosure on newer kernels.
Intel GPU compatibility can be weaker for game optimization compared with Radeon-focused ecosystems.

They probably been more than happy with a Window "S" Acer Aspire Go 15 that I got later from woot for like $240+tax, but I decided to just make that a travel linux workstation laptop for myself and not to have to deal with "slow laptop" complaints/help requests later on.

last year some of us on SD bought openbox Lenovo yoga variant of this laptop from bestbuy minus the 120hz screen for $350 before tax...
On the other hand, there are tons for Radeon.
Thanks op!
I'm pretty sure most Lunar Lake laptops have soldered RAM, and I think this one does as well...but the Acer product specs page for this model says it has a standard configuration of 16GB of RAM and a max of 32. Not sure what to make of that-- upgradable RAM would be a pretty valuable detail.
I also can't figure out how many or what type of SSD slot(s) it has.
Anybody able to confirm from somewhere reliable what the answers are on these?
