I don't know why I'm constantly seeing Mac fake 'deals' here everyday. I keep downvoting them and yet they keep popping up.

The prices today are make believe and $780 for what was always $500 regularly is NOT a deal. Vote with your wallet and ignore this crap.

What was "always" is no more... Mac Mini's now start over $700 - at least USD/more in CAN. I assume EU money may be a little more in line but

This model is fine for anyone who isn't doing intensive work like video editing or running LLMs.For those that are, it may be worth the premium for more ram and/or the 512gb hard drive, which is significantly faster.

Exactly. Get a 40/80Gbps usb4/thunderbolt dock and slap a "cheap" nvme in there. Or grab a Mac mini dock by orico or beelink that have storage built in for less than $100. (Many of which are just nvme adapters with drives) As long as you avoid the 10gbps adapters you will have pretty good speed.
